2 Days Erg Chigaga Tour from Mhamid: Trekking and Adventure

Your adventure begins at our office in M’hamid El Ghizlane, where you’ll embark on an exciting off-road journey into the Sahara in a 4×4 Landcruiser. This thrilling drive showcases diverse desert landscapes, including stunning dunes, reg (pebble plains), and hamada (stone plateaus). Keep an eye out for free-roaming donkeys and camels along the way, adding to the authentic desert experience. After approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of driving, we arrive at Erg Chigaga, where our Desert Candles Camp awaits at the base of the towering dunes. For those departing at 11:00 AM, we provide a delicious lunch at the camp, with vegetarian and vegan options available. During the hot summer months, we’ll stop at an oasis for a cooler, shaded lunch among palm trees. Once at the desert camp, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the nomads with tea, coffee, and snacks before settling into your private tent. In the evening, enjoy a beautiful camel ride into the desert to witness a breathtaking sunset from atop a high dune. The panoramic views of the endless sand dunes are simply unforgettable. For the adventurous, sandboarding is available at the camp! After returning to the camp, freshen up with a refreshing shower and indulge in a delicious 3-course dinner served in our dining area. After dinner, immerse yourself in traditional music played by the nomads, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of drums around the campfire. Feel free to join in the singing and dancing, creating lasting memories under a starlit sky that shines brighter than anywhere else. You have the option to sleep in a nomad tent or under the twinkling stars.
