Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Marrakech hotel, embarking on a scenic drive through the breathtaking Tizi-N-Tichka mountain pass (2260 meters) in the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy stunning landscapes and charming Berber villages along the way. Stop at the Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a famous film backdrop for movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. After exploring the fortified village, continue your journey to the Dades Valley, passing through the picturesque rose valley and Skoura palm grove. You'll spend the night in a traditional Moroccan hotel in Dades Gorges, enjoying a delicious dinner.
After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, depart around 8 am, following the scenic Road of 1000 Kasbahs through vibrant Berber villages. About 45 km later, arrive in Tineghir, known for its beautiful palm groves and historic Jewish quarter. Continue to the Todra Gorges, where you can hike through the impressive 300-meter-high canyons. Then, journey to the Erg Chebbi Dunes. Here, enjoy a 1.5-hour camel ride at sunset, taking in the mesmerizing views. Spend the night in a desert camp, savouring a delicious dinner accompanied by traditional local music.
Wake up early (around 5:30 am) to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, a highlight of your desert experience. After breakfast, begin your return trip to Marrakech, passing through Tazarine, the Draa Valley, Agdez, and Ouarzazate. Enjoy the scenic landscapes one last time before arriving back in Marrakech, where your unforgettable journey concludes.
