Your adventure begins at 9 a.m. when your driver picks you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. As you journey through the stunning High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n'Tichka pass, you’ll be captivated by the dramatic landscapes and charming Berber villages. Continuing south, you’ll pass through Ouarzazate, often dubbed “Morocco’s Hollywood,” before entering the lush Draa Valley. Follow the ancient caravan route along palm trees until you reach the desert town of Zagora. Here, you’ll have dinner and spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse, preparing for the desert adventures ahead.
After breakfast, your journey takes you deeper into the Sahara towards the nomadic village of M’hamid El Ghizlane. En route, stop at Tamegroute, famous for its pottery, where you can observe traditional crafting techniques and visit the historic Koranic Library. After a two-hour drive, you’ll arrive in M’hamid for lunch and some relaxation by the hotel pool. Following this, embark on an exhilarating off-road journey into the desert. After about three hours of exhilarating terrain, you'll reach the town of Foum Zguid for refreshments. Continue your journey to Taznakht, the carpet capital of Morocco, where you’ll have lunch and witness Berber women showcasing their carpet-making skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase exquisite handmade carpets. Next, drive through Taliouine, known for its saffron production, before arriving in Taroudant.
