Day Trip from Ouarzazate to Todra Gorge

8:00 AM Departure: Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Ouarzazate. Skoura Oasis: We’ll start our journey along the renowned “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Our first stop will be the Skoura Oasis, where we will visit the historic Amridil Kasbah. This well-preserved kasbah provides insight into traditional Moroccan architecture and life. Kelaat M’Gouna: Next, we will continue through the beautiful Rose Valley to reach Kelaat M’Gouna. Known for its breathtaking fields of pink roses, this town celebrates its annual Rose Festival, where locals honour the harvest of these fragrant blooms. You’ll have the chance to take photos and enjoy the stunning scenery. Tinghir: After Kelaat M’Gouna, we will head towards Tinghir, nestled at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. This town is famous for its lush palm groves and stunning natural landscapes. Todra Gorge: A short drive from Tinghir will bring us to the Todra Gorge, where you’ll be awed by the massive canyon walls that rise steeply around you. The gorge is about 300 meters deep and features dramatic red limestone cliffs that create a breathtaking backdrop. It feels as if you’ve stepped into an old Western movie as you navigate through this impressive landscape. Lunch in Todra Gorge: We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Todra Gorge, allowing you to savour traditional Moroccan dishes while enjoying the stunning surroundings. Explore Tinghir: After lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to take a leisurely walk through Tinghir’s palm groves or visit the historic Jewish quarter, experiencing the local culture and history. Return to Ouarzazate: In the afternoon, we’ll make our way back to Ouarzazate, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or riad, concluding your magnificent day of exploration.
