Highlights of the Tour
Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a camel ride into the mesmerizing desert towards the magnificent Erg Chigaga dunes. After approximately three hours of riding, we pause for a leisurely lunch under the shade of a tree, sipping on traditional tea. Following this rejuvenating break, we trek for another three hours until we reach Oued Naam, a dry riverbed. Here, we set up camp for the night. As the sun sets, our chef prepares a delightful dinner, and you can choose to sleep in a cosy tent or under the stars, surrounded by the tranquil desert night.
Awakening to the serene sounds of the desert, we enjoy a hearty breakfast before continuing our journey. Today, we traverse a significant portion of the desert, riding for about three hours until we find a perfect spot for lunch. After the meal, we set out for another three hours, exploring the breathtaking landscapes. We establish a camp in the stunning dunes of Lotide, where you can unwind, enjoy dinner, and once again sleep under the twinkling stars.
After a picturesque sunrise, we savour breakfast before heading towards the iconic Erg Chigaga dunes. Lunch awaits us at the Sacred Oasis, a lush spot with palm trees and a year-round water source vital for the nomads and their livestock. After another 15 km of riding, we arrive at Erg Chigaga, home to Morocco's tallest dunes, reaching up to 300 meters. Enjoy the serene sunset and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of this unique environment. Tonight, we will have dinner accompanied by local entertainment and spend the night in a comfortable Berber tent at the bivouac.
On our fourth day, we begin our journey back towards M’hamid. Riding for about three hours, we take a break for lunch in the shade before continuing to the Bougarn dunes, where we will spend the night. This is a perfect opportunity to reflect on your adventures while enjoying the captivating landscape.
Rise early to catch a stunning sunrise and enjoy a traditional Moroccan breakfast. We continue to explore the diverse desert landscapes, stopping for lunch and a refreshing cup of mint tea along the way. The camel trek resumes as we make our way to the Mezouaria dunes, where you can choose to sleep in a tent or under the vast, starlit sky.
On the final day, we ride back towards M’hamid. Upon arrival, we gather for a celebratory lunch to mark the conclusion of this extraordinary wild camp tour, filled with memories and friendships forged under the desert sun.
