Marrakech Tour Trips invites you to travel to a three-day trip from Marrakech to Merzouga. Prepare to explore picturesque natural environments and rural landscapes south of Marrakech. You’ll cross beautiful river valleys. See the magnificent historical sites made famous by movies, sleeping in an authentic camp under the stars before enjoying watching the sunrise over Merzouga dunes.
Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddu – Ouarzazat – boumalen dades
We begin our journey to the Valley of Dads, accompanied by our driver guide who will share stories about Bedouin life.
Next, we continue our way to the Onella Valley, a historic city and a meeting point for old caravan routes.
Throughout this valley, beautiful ochre colors of clay will capture you, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding greenery.
Enjoy some leisure time for lunch and explore the famous Ait Ben Haddo , continuing our journey through Dadds Valley and Rose Valley.
At night we will stay in a hotel where you can enjoy a delicious dinner.
Day 2: Dadds Valley – Arfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we will head to the palm groves of the todgha gorge , where a beautiful discovery awaits us.
We will have the opportunity to stroll inside this enchanting oasis, immersed in the beauty of palm orchards.
We continue our journey to Arfoud, and we will stop to explore a wonderful fossil site from a geological perspective.
Our journey will then take us to the famous dunes of the desert.
If time permits, we will have the opportunity to visit the village of Rissani and enjoy the Moulay Ali Al-Sharif shrine.
In the afternoon, we will be greeted by well-equipped beauty that will guide us to sand dunes, where we can watch a wonderful sunset.
Once we get to the makeshift camp, we’ll taste a delicious dinner and spend the night in barbaric tents for an authentic and immersive experience.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After a delicious breakfast, we will set off on the way through Rissani , where the exquisite landscape unfolds before us.
We will take a break for lunch and regain our energy before continuing our journey.
On the way to Ouarzazate, we will discover the city that served as the backdrop for many films, earning her the nickname Hollywood African. Its landscapes and sunny and bright climate have made it a desirable destination for production studios.
We will cross the Atlas Mountains again, stop to take photos and enjoy the picturesque panoramic views.
We will enjoy some leisure time for lunch and recovery before resuming our trip to Marrakech, our final destination.
